Heavy Diesel Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing mobile plant equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician with a strong background in open cut mining to join our team at Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and optimization of our heavy earthmoving fleet, as well as providing support to our rental fleet as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ongoing maintenance and optimization of Emeco's heavy earthmoving fleet.
  • Providing support to the rental fleet as required.
  • Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimize the risk of injury to yourself and others.
  • Ensuring all maintenance and optimization targets are met on time and within budget.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full working rights within Australia.
  • Proven post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi.
  • A recognized National Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter Trade Qualification.
  • A high level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles.
  • A current Australian Driver's License (HR is preferable).
  • A High Risk Licence (is preferable) but we also offer in-house training.
