We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to contribute to landmark projects and work with a talented group of individuals.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, enabling them to deliver high-quality results and provide exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading geotechnical aspects of projects and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Delivering geotechnical projects or components, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
  • Planning and supervising site investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, pressuremeter, etc.), sampling, and monitoring
  • Performing geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, liquefaction assessment, and seismic response
  • Designing foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement solutions, and pavements
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports, feasibility studies, design documents, and specifications
  • Identifying geotechnical risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Nurturing client relationships and providing geotechnical advice and presentations
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technicians

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology (Master's degree preferred)
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility) is highly desirable
  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, ideally in consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures
  • Awareness and growing experience in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Slope/W, Settle3D, LPILE, gINT)
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
