Job Description:

As a Strategic Merchandise Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future through insightful forecasting and strategic planning.

You will be responsible for developing stock and ranging processes in conjunction with the Buying team to deliver cost, quality, and availability of stock targets.

This role requires a high-energy environment, collaboration cross-functionally, and adaptability to market trends to keep our offerings fresh and exciting for customers.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the team and establish monthly budgets and replans for sales, stock, stock turns, margins, purchases, and gross profit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective stock and ranging processes
  • Set and deliver cost, quality, and availability of stock targets
  • Drive assortment optimisation through effective space and range management
  • Establish monthly budgets and replans for key business metrics
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a merchandise planner role (General merchandise experience is ideal but not a must)
  • Experience with coaching and managing direct reports would be advantageous
  • Proven experience developing effective processes in merchandise planning
  • Experience in a Retail environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
