Band 4 Assistant Practitioner role on Tyleri ward at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan. Based at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, with openings on the Elective Trauma & Orthopaedics Ward, C7W.

This is an innovative role which will be a key part of the ward team providing essential support to Registered Nurses and delivering direct patient care through enhanced skills. You will also supervise HCSWs at Band 2 & 3.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Level 4 vocational qualification in a relevant health care associated subject / Certificate in Health Care Support Worker Education

Desirable criteria

  • Teaching or assessment qualification

Experience/quals

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the legislation related to Safeguarding e.g. adults/children, The Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards to keep adults within their care safe
