HRBP (Industrial Relations Advisor)

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation as a HRBP (IR Advisor) supporting the Workplace Relations team in industrial relations matters. The role is fixed for 12 months and provides advisory support on employment terms in accordance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and legislation.

The successful candidate will lead and support enterprise agreement bargaining, advocacy, and negotiations with unions and external bodies. They will also monitor the workplace relations landscape, offering strategic advice on compliance and responding to change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advisory support on employment terms in accordance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and legislation.
  • Leading and supporting enterprise agreement bargaining, advocacy, and negotiations with unions and external bodies.
  • Monitoring the workplace relations landscape, especially IR and ER, offering strategic advice on compliance and responding to change.
  • Ensuring policies, procedures, and guidelines are current, compliant, and maintaining IR records and related materials.

Requirements:

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience as a subject matter expert in Industrial Relations.
  • Solid experience with Enterprise Agreements, particularly in leading or supporting EA / EBA negotiations end-to-end.
  • A tertiary qualification (certificate/diploma or higher) in HR or a related field, and/or Industrial Relations.
  • Strong HR knowledge, especially in Australian HR practices, legislation, industrial instruments, and frameworks.
