Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Oversee all quality control exercises, including traceability, mass balances, and mock recalls, to ensure timely completion as per our Quality Schedule.
  • Customer Quality Items: Follow up with departments to ensure customer quality items are addressed promptly.
  • Specification Reviews: Review specifications and labels for country requirements and compliance.
  • Compliance Audits: Represent the company in external compliance audits.
  • Training and Development: Update training matrices, identify training needs, and train, coach, and motivate subordinate staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Carry out other tasks and roles as required in a team environment to effectively meet department objectives and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Industry Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of the meat processing industry and processes.
  • QA Functions: Detailed knowledge of QA functions, compliance, country requirements, and legislation.
  • Certifications: AUS-MEAT certificates and HACCP certification.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a complex work environment, manage, coach, and motivate subordinate staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer and report writing skills.
  • Teamwork: Preparedness to undertake training related to the position and a willingness to help others.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, energy, and enthusiasm to complete tasks under heavy work pressures.
