Senior Accounting Clerk

A high level of accounting expertise is required to excel in this hybrid role. The AR/AP Specialist I position involves auditing and reconciling both construction and non-construction invoices, as well as approving vendor invoices to ensure compliance with contract provisions.
Responsibilities:- Audit and reconcile invoices using established processes and standards.
- Approve vendor invoices to ensure compliance with contract provisions, reviewing timesheets, equipment charges, and construction order requirements.
- Verify accuracy by auditing work order materials, labor, and equipment to ensure actual field construction matches vendor's invoiced amounts.
- Communicate with external stakeholders regarding rejected invoices.
- Monitor and track the status of post-audit corrections to ensure accurate and timely payment.
- Independently resolve invoice issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, and three years of related experience (preferred).
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Flexibility and dependability in your work schedule.
- Excellent prioritization skills to manage your workload effectively.
This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (some flexibility with start/end times). Reliable personal transportation is required as you may need to commute to other local offices.
