Job Overview

This role presents a unique opportunity to lead a team in a specialist site, supporting individuals with disability to develop workplace skills and achieve their NDIS goals.

You will work independently, guiding your team through daily tasks and adapting on the go. Your focus will be on ensuring that individuals with disability meet packaging and quality standards while achieving their individual NDIS goals.

  • Support and guide individuals with disability to meet packaging and quality standards.
  • Implement and teach clean room protocols, ensuring all safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements are met.
  • Lead by example in hands-on activities: counting, weighing, gathering, assembling, and quality checking small medical components.
  • Collaborate effectively with another Team Leader and the host site to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with disability in a workplace, training, or open employment setting, as well as knowledge of medical packaging practices or sterile processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience supporting individuals with disability.
  • Knowledge of medical packaging practices or sterile processing.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and demonstrate leadership.
  • Understanding of the NDIS, especially around employment goals and person-centred support.
  • Good fine motor skills and ability to support others working with their hands.
