Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Oversee Antimicrobial Stewardship Program across multiple healthcare sites.
  • Design and implement a new model of Antimicrobial Stewardship using fee-for-service principles.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to pharmacists in Antimicrobial Stewardship.
  • Offer expert advice and education to medical employees, pharmacists, and nursing staff as necessary.
  • Promote innovation and improvement in antimicrobial use.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant accreditation standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold a recognized Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) for Australian registration.
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Meet eligibility criteria for Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Have completed Specialist training in Infectious Diseases.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease management.
  • Exhibit success through collaboration and teamwork.
