Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health, along with relevant experience in providing holistic support to people with disabilities. You will be responsible for promoting self-care and independence, fostering meaningful community engagement, and supporting participants in various activities such as swimming, bushwalking, BBQs, and outdoor events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote self-care and independence among participants
  • Foster meaningful community engagement through social and recreational activities
  • Support participants in activities such as swimming, bushwalking, and outdoor events

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health
  • NDIS Workers Screening Card
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current Australian QLD Driver's Licence
  • Own reliable car with current registration and comprehensive insurance
