Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Chief Nurse Officer in our Emergency department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible experience during their stay with us.

About the Role
  • You will lead a team of nurses in providing clinical operational direction to the Emergency department team.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nursing care delivery strategies.
  • Ensure excellent patient-centered care is delivered in a team-focused environment.
  • Mentor and support your team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Be accountable for human, financial, and material resource management within the department.
  • Take on direct patient care when required, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering high-standard clinical care.
  • Comply with national standards, such as those set by ACQSHC.
  • Hold current Registration with AHPRA and maintain a Working with Children check.
  • Prior experience at a similar level or equivalent is essential.
  • A post-graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting would be highly desirable.
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role is vital.
  • A management degree or working towards one would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated HR management experience is essential, including sound knowledge of labour management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as a high degree of computer literacy.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment is crucial.
