Job Description

Eden Ritchie Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing lead coordination support for the planning, operational process management, and governance assurance of essential travel in line with whole-of-government directives and guidance, and departmental policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel Planning and Governance: Lead and manage division-wide staff travel planning and governance assurance processes in line with regulatory requirements, whole-of-government directives, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Travel Execution and Support: Fulfil a lead role in executing travel bookings and travel claim processing in line with approvals, directives, policy, and procedures, with overflow and/or peak processing booking and claiming support to be provided from a small group of Business Support Officers if required.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and review systems and processes to facilitate streamlined operational support with a view to achieving best practice standards as they relate to staff travel (and other business support functions as necessary).
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders to discuss business process requirements, evaluate current process performance, and identify opportunities to improve processes for improvement.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide well-written briefs, communications, and guidance to support the business, including in relation to staff travel and other business support functions.
  • Operational Support: Work under limited supervision, using a high level of initiative to resolve issues.
