
Chief Vendor Management Officer

Our organization seeks a skilled professional to lead our vendor management, procurement, and contract management efforts.
This role involves spearheading the development and execution of strategic procurement plans, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient sourcing practices align with our business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive vendor management strategy to foster strong partnerships with key vendors;
- Managing vendor selection, negotiation, and contract administration processes;
- Maintaining a robust vendor risk management framework to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards;
- Designing and implementing a procurement framework to drive cost optimization initiatives and oversee end-to-end procurement processes;
- Leading the development and oversight of a client contract management strategy to ensure all agreements are managed in alignment with our business objectives and regulatory requirements;
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract management within the financial services sector or a regulated industry, with strong leadership and team management skills, excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement and vendor management systems, processes, and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law, or a related field;
- Extensive experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract management within the financial services sector or a regulated industry;
- Proven experience in developing and implementing vendor and client contract management frameworks;
- Strong leadership and team management skills;
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities;
- Deep understanding of procurement and vendor management systems, processes, and technologies;
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) or industry certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CRISC) desirable;
