We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our remote health services team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary health care services to our clients in a holistic and culturally responsive manner.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical consultations and provide clinical supervision to General Practitioners and Medical Students
- Assist in the recruitment and induction of new staff members
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure best practice and quality care
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinic Managers to maintain and improve clinical governance and quality of care
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the Medical Director on matters related to service delivery and client health outcomes
- Registered with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College Rural and Remote Medicine
- Minimum 5 years of experience in primary health care and remote health services
- Knowledge of Aboriginal health issues and government health policies
- Experience in GP training and accreditation as a GP supervisor
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a community-controlled environment and adapt clinical practice to ensure cultural responsiveness
