Join Our Team as a General Practitioner in Alice Springs

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at the Alice Springs Youth Detention Centre. As a General Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive and holistic care to young people in detention, addressing their health issues and positively impacting their experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work part-time (0.5 FTE) and become part of the GP community within Congress as well as the team at the centre. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of many young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally safe GP services within a comprehensive primary health care framework
  • Work to the principles, values, and philosophy of Congress as an Aboriginal community controlled health service
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to young people in detention
