Job Overview

Mineral Resources Limited is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy, and mining services across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closure Planning Specialist
  • Project Coordination Expert
  • Site Closure Planner

The role involves providing technical advice and support to the business in closure planning, management, and minimization of risks and impacts on the physical environment. Key responsibilities include assisting mine closure teams in developing closure designs and studies, undertaking project planning and coordination for research and development projects, and working with site personnel and contractors to ensure the development of mine closure studies and site closure plans to meet project and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining, Civil, or Environmental), Environmental Science, Geoscience, or similar.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in mining; operations or consultancy.
  • Mine closure / environmental restoration experience highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Environmental Legislation relevant to the Mining Industry.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills (Drafting mine closure plans, scope of work etc.).
  • Strong experience across broad range of technical disciplines including mine planning, hydrogeology, geochemistry, landform design, and evolution (highly desirable).
  • Project management and/or contractor management experience.
  • Arc GIS and Deswik / Surpac skills (highly desirable).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
