Senior team members are responsible for:

  • Assisting managers in supervising team members by providing training, guidance, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Supporting managers in overseeing work of junior roles.
  • Acting as local leaders, being role models, and providing guidance to team members.

 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in financial services, specifically in cyber underwriting, with knowledge of legislative frameworks and technical cyber risk management controls.
  • Demonstrable ability to grow a profitable portfolio.
  • Demonstrated competences in maintaining broker/client relationships.

 

Desirable qualifications include tertiary qualifications. Key skills and competencies include:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and clients.
  • An organised and methodical approach to working practices and meeting deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian insurance regulatory and compliance environment.
  • Sound technical and analytical skills with the ability to prioritise while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to learn and contribute as part of a team, with the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Active market presence and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to provide a high level of service to external stakeholders.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex underwriting problems within defined guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills demonstrating an ability to teach, influence, and motivate others.
  • Problem solving, negotiation, and decision making.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of cyber products and underwriting practices, and market dynamics.
  • Strong technical understanding of cyber risk management.
