About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Liability Underwriter who is a client-centric professional to join our General Liability team. As a Senior Liability Underwriter, you will be working closely with the Head of Liability to help grow and develop a national portfolio within the mid-market sector.

You'll be working within an established underwriting business with an existing General Liability presence, supported by an experienced and global underwriting business.

This role will see responsibility for:

• Development of new business opportunities within the mid-market to complex liability sector
• Underwrite and manage new business, renewals and endorsements through building meaningful broker relationships.
• Communicate DUAL's underwriting appetite to broking partners
• Develop and maintain market facing broker relationships and industry networks.
• Contribute to the training and development of underwriting staff
• Negotiate rates/terms with brokers within underwriting guidelines and business risk appetite.
• Follow up offers of quotations/ renewals

About You

You will have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Liability Underwriting with a strong technical knowledge of underwriting liability risk and a passion for your work within Liability insurance. You will also demonstrate a track record of new business development and confidence in managing multiple clients across a broad range of risk industries for new business, renewals and endorsements. You should be comfortable providing training, guidance, and mentorship to fellow staff as well as addressing external clients. Your people skills and passion for quality service enable you to successfully build a book on new business while maintaining relationships and service standards through timely responses to broker requests.
