SURA Technology Risks has a new opportunity for a Cyber & Technology Underwriter in a hybrid capacity to join our busy team in Sydney or Brisbane to underwrite IT & Cyber risks, quote, and bind accounts within a delegated authority through negotiating & converting submissions from brokers for accounts.

Other responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Contribute to new business growth objectives by pursuing profitable new business growth opportunities and developing new broker relationships in the Tech & Cyber space.
• Contribute to new Product Development initiatives.
• Engage with London markets and develop a thorough understanding of the Lloyd's Coverholder model and the responsibility attaching to the Binding Authority Agreement.
• Be an active contributor to the success of the Company by embracing the responsibility attaching to a Senior Underwriting role within SURA Cyber thereby assisting in areas of development including markets, product, strategic planning, mentoring and policy and procedure.
• Ensure all service are provided in a fair and ethical manner and compliant with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes and Company policies and procedures.
• Ensure professional conduct is maintained at all times to positively promote SURA Technology Risks, SURA, the AUB Group and the insurance industry.

We are looking for a well-presented strong communicator, both written and verbally who can effectively manage a busy workload and multitask with conflicting priorities. This role would suit someone who has a solid working knowledge of IT liability & Cyber in the insurance industry and wants to join a leading Australian underwriting agency

Additionally, we are looking for someone with the below experience:

• Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the legal/legislative environment in which the insurance industry operates.
• Technical knowledge of IT liability & Cyber insurance products.
• Building relationships with brokers
