About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing support to our organisation across a wide range of HR services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, policy interpretation and development, reporting, recruitment and selection, training, workforce management, and HR projects.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of HR initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR decisions and develop reports to support business outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on organisational policies and procedures, including Award/Enterprise Agreement interpretation and relevant legislation.
  • Support employee wellbeing activities and coordinate HR-related events and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an HR Generalist at an advisor level.
  • Broad computer skills and ability to learn new applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing a range of HR generalist services, including Award/Enterprise Agreement interpretation, knowledge of relevant legislation, and experience in staff recruitment and management.
  • Developed skills in liaison, negotiation, and communication with staff and external bodies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR projects and analysing data to inform business decisions.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Previous experience within a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience working within the public sector.
