Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - B1 AME

At Airborne Solutions Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1 AME) to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our DHC 8 Classic aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to a Zero Harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in safety programs.
  • Perform duties as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, ensuring all maintenance is carried out in line with Aircraft Maintenance manuals, MOE, procedures manuals, and CAMO requirements.
  • Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop, ensuring compliance with FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE/HoM, including personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Report defects found during maintenance to the certifying engineer.
Essential Criteria:
  • Australian Citizen.
  • Willing to relocate to Darwin if not already a resident.
  • Sound communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Both line maintenance and heavy maintenance experience.
  • Cert IV Aeroskills – Mechanical.
  • Dash 8 Experience.
  • Confined space training.
  • Current first aid Certificate.
  • Forklift license.
