Job Overview

This role is based in Brisbane, Australia. You will provide training to Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians as part of a regional program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and develop less experienced technicians and apprentices to undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on various engine products.
  • Deliver technical training to all apprentices in the region.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on progress against key performance indicators for apprentice development.
  • Regularly communicate your training program delivery schedule with supervisors and managers.
  • Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in pre-start meetings to ensure understanding of workplace hazards.
  • Participate in an annual onboarding program.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Prior experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians is highly desirable.
  • Possess or be willing to work towards achievement of a certificate in training and assessment.
  • Minimum 4 years post-traditional qualification completion preferred.
  • Candidates must be based in Brisbane and willing to travel across the region as required.
Additional Information
  • Location: Carole Park, QLD, Australia (with up to 25% travel per year)
  • Reports to: Training Manager APAC with a dotted line to the regional service manager.
