Pricing Systems Strategist

The Australian Government Department of Health aims to develop a pricing system that promotes safe and efficient health and aged care for all Australians.

We implement our vision through activity-based funding (ABF), which provides incentives for efficiency and increases transparency in the delivery and funding of public hospital services across Australia.

In response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, our expanded functions include providing expert advice to the Commonwealth Minister for Health and Aged Care on aged care pricing matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop pricing systems for health and aged care services.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Minister on aged care pricing matters.

Requirements:

  • APS Level 6 qualifications or higher.
  • Experience in health and aged care policy or related fields.
