Psychologist - Aboriginal Community Health Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychologist to join our team at Health Workforce Queensland. As a Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds to overcome health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive mental health services to clients, including assessment, intervention, and case management.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver prevention and education programs.
- Conduct health assessments and develop treatment plans to address the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Participate in data administration and contribute to the development of health promotion activities.
- Tertiary degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA).
- Experience in providing mental health services in various settings, including remote areas.
- Strong understanding of the health issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a commitment to improving health outcomes.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Current C Class Driver's License (QLD) and satisfactory police check.
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 per annum, plus salary sacrifice.
- Relocation allowance to Mt Isa and professional development allowance.
