Fleet Manager – Truck Operations Specialist

About the Role

This full-time position is focused on managing and maintaining a fleet of trucks, quads, and trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the fleet to ensure efficient delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Victoria.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the onboarding and operational efficiency of the fleet
  • Ensuring all trucks and staff are inducted, with documentation up-to-date, and managing this proactively
  • Liaising with site supervisors and team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Providing training to upskill truck operators
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including HVNL and CoR
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a senior truck operations or fleet management role
  • Deep knowledge of truck operation, maintenance, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational, planning, and reporting skills for complex logistics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement
  • Punctual, professional, and capable of communicating via phone, computer, and apps
