Job Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidance Counsellor to provide proactive and preventative practices and initiatives for the holistic development, mental health and wellbeing of students in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement proactive and preventative practices and initiatives for the holistic development, mental health and wellbeing of students
  • Manage counselling and consulting services for students, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments and provide reports on student performance
  • Evaluate and maintain standards of practice, ensuring compliance with relevant protocols and quality processes

Requirements:

  • A degree in Education or Psychology, plus a completed Masters in school guidance and counselling; OR a degree in Psychology, with full registration as a Psychologist
  • Successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting, with a focus on prevention, intervention and student learning
  • Experience in identifying and developing activities to address academic and life career development of students
  • Experience in the administration, interpretation and report writing for psycho-educational assessments
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
