Psychiatrist Consultant - Forensic Mental Health

Job Description:

The role of Psychiatrist Consultant in our team involves working closely with multidisciplinary professionals to provide high-quality patient care and lead clinical practices. The key responsibilities include assessing, treating, and managing the psychiatric health of individuals across various settings.

This position also entails collaborating with other teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Effective communication and coordination are essential in ensuring seamless transitions between services.

  • Assess, treat, and manage patients under direct care in forensic mental health settings.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and direction to a multi-disciplinary team in delivering evidence-based practice.
  • Contribute to ongoing education and research initiatives within the field of forensic psychiatry.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

A highly skilled and values-driven individual with expertise in forensic psychiatry is sought after. A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) are requirements for this position.

Additionally, relevant experience and qualifications, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills, will be assessed during the selection process.
