Job Title: Auxiliary Firefighter

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team providing emergency services to the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents in a safe and effective manner.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses provided by QFES.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A manual C class driver's licence is required for this role.
  • The successful candidate must commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours, or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours.
  • An MRV licence is required within 12 months of employment.
