Lead Sterilisation Specialist

As a Sterilisation Specialist, you will be working at The Sydney Dental Hospital, which has been serving the local community since 1904. Our hospital is a center of excellence and has played a key role in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to providing high-quality patient care. As a sterilisation specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all reusable medical devices are properly reprocessed and maintained according to international and national standards.
We are looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in sterilisation services, as well as strong knowledge of reprocessing procedures and standards. If you have a current NSW Driver's Licence and are willing to travel across facilities within the district, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all reusable medical devices are properly reprocessed and maintained according to international and national standards;
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of sterilisation services;
- Maintain accurate records of sterilisation processes and equipment maintenance;
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in sterilisation services;
- Strong knowledge of reprocessing procedures and standards, including AS 5369:2023;
- A current NSW Driver's Licence;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
