Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team as a consultant. Our client is a boutique consultancy that provides specialist advisory, claims management, and dispute resolution services to the construction, built environment, and infrastructure industries.

The Role

In this position, you will apply your technical expertise to commercial advisory, construction claims, and be a resolution point for construction & costing disputes.

You will:

  • Work alongside experienced consultants, delay analysts, and quantity surveyors on the preparation of claims
  • Support the development of extensions of time, disruption claims, acceleration claims, and related matters
  • Undertake forensic reviews of project records and site inspections
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, construction methods, and procedures to identify claims opportunities
  • Draft contractual correspondence and provide contract administration and commercial advice
  • Collaborate with client project teams and legal professionals

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated problem solver with:

  • An engineering degree and at least 3 years' construction industry experience (site-based experience highly valued)
  • Exposure to contracts and claims processes
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
