Hitachi Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Fitter to join our team in Perth, providing quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs on Hitachi earthmoving equipment. This role involves working on major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality technical services to customers, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Demonstrate proactive safety awareness and commitment to Hitachi's number one priority – exercising a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and others.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, focusing on delivering quality outcomes and exceeding expectations.
- Analyse complex technical issues, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless service delivery, prioritising efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in heavy diesel mechanics and field service fitting, with OEM equipment experience highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
About the Role:
This is a permanent full-time position, offering a rewarding salary package, including superannuation, zone allowances, potential overtime, and company bonuses. You will enjoy a genuine work-life balance, working Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work. A fully maintained service vehicle, PPE, uniform, laptop, and work mobile are also provided.
