Senior Building Structures Strategist Role Overview

This is a critical leadership role within our organization, responsible for establishing and growing the building structures discipline across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to drive growth and excellence in building structures practice.
  • Build key client relationships and secure major project wins through collaboration and negotiation.
  • Deliver projects that demonstrate quality, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Oversee the technical development and quality of building structural engineering services.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team aligned with our values and technical standards.
  • Collaborate across business groups to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
  • Act as a member of the Building Engineering Services Leadership Team.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in consulting engineering, preferably within a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and ability to win and deliver complex projects.
  • Experience in developing and managing diverse teams, with a focus on quality, innovation, and team development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
