Partner with a leading insurer to drive data engineering innovation and design a cutting-edge data platform. Develop robust, modular, and reusable data pipelines and champion engineering excellence.
- Design and implement a modern data architecture built on Azure cloud technologies.
- Develop scalable data pipelines that prioritize modularity, testability, and reusability.
- Establish and promote best practices in data engineering across the organization.
- Mentor a team of data engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive improvements in code quality, monitoring, deployment, and infrastructure automation.
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software development roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure data services including Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Spark/PySpark.
- Strong understanding of data architecture concepts, including lakehouse patterns, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., YAML, Bicep).
- Experience deploying data solutions using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Evolve the data platform to meet business needs.
- Design and implement data pipelines with optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation.
- Identify and address knowledge gaps within the team.
