We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis.

Job Description

The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations. You will also be responsible for preparing payroll, ensuring superannuation compliance, and assisting with BAS preparation and liaising with external accountants.

You will perform bank reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, process and manage prepayments and accruals, and keep financial records tidy and accurate. Additionally, you will support management with ad hoc financial queries and reporting, handle payroll tax, superannuation submissions, and end-of-month adjustments, and manage the accounts inbox and ensure timely responses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. You must have demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or accounts officer and a solid working knowledge of Xero; experience with Astute Payroll is a bonus.

You will need to possess meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills, as well as the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and construction industry experience is a plus but not a deal-breaker.
