Job Title: Payroll Officer

 

  • Job Summary:
  • This reputable financial services provider is seeking an accomplished payroll specialist to manage their part-time payroll operations. As a core member of the finance team, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless delivery of all aspects of payroll processing for a diverse workforce.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage complex payroll calculations and ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
    • Support employees with their queries and provide guidance and support as needed.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports for month-end close and maintain accurate records.
    • Liaise closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve payroll queries promptly.
    • Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions in accordance with statutory requirements.
    • Generate comprehensive month-end reports and process journals.
    • Assist in process improvement initiatives and automation projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the payroll function.

 

  • Requirements:
    • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes within complex environments.
    • Advanced Excel skills to handle data analysis and reporting tasks confidently.
    • Familiarity with major payroll systems such as ADP or Workday is beneficial.
    • Formal qualifications underpinning technical competence.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
    • High levels of accuracy combined with strong analytical abilities to deliver quality work under pressure.
    • Exceptional prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during peak periods.
