Laundry Services Assistant Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Laundry Services Assistant to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our residents. This role is responsible for ensuring all resident personal clothing and laundry items are handled with care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in laundry practices, excellent organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. They must also be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Label and Handle Resident Items: Ensure all resident personal clothing and laundry items are labeled and handled with care to prevent loss or damage.
- Safe Transportation and Handling: Safely transport and handle soiled linen in accordance with infection control requirements.
- Laundry Operations: Laundry linen and resident personal clothing according to policies and procedures.
- Storage and Rotation: Ensure correct storage and rotation of clean linen to prevent contamination and maintain quality.
- Inspection and Replacement: Inspect and identify linen items for replacement to ensure our residents receive clean and hygienic products.
- Infection Control Program: Participate in the Infection Control Program to prevent the spread of infection among our residents.
- Ongoing Tasks: Perform any other tasks as directed by management to support the smooth operation of our laundry services.
- Laundry Experience: Experience in laundry practices, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
- National Police Certificate: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire) to ensure the safety and security of our residents.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency to manage inventory, track orders, and perform administrative tasks.
- Driver's License: Current valid drivers license (will occasionally drive 4.5 tonne vehicle).
