Key Responsibilities- Provide in-house legal advice on life insurance products, policy documents, and agreements.
- Assist with regulatory dealings and investigations, and review disclose material and evaluate litigation risks and exposures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with life insurance laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in life insurance laws and regulations, and provide guidance on their impact on our business.
- Recognised Australian legal qualifications and eligibility to practice law in New South Wales.
- 5+ years of experience in life insurance law, including financial services law and general and commercial law disciplines.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to receive instructions, assess issues, and provide clear and concise advice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build trustful relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and non-technical way.
