Job Overview

This role is focused on leading the efficient and safe operation of baggage handling systems. You will oversee the planning and allocation of resources to manage the flow of baggage within these systems.

  • Collaborate with airlines, ground handlers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations and coordinate resource allocation to meet flight schedules.
  • Manage communication with airlines and ground handlers regarding flight preparations, resource allocation and baggage transfer.
  • Oversee the segregation of international and domestic baggage upon arrival.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with system contractors to minimize disruptions.
  • Work closely with the airport operations center to manage contingency arrangements for system issues and support broader airport operations.
  • Assist in responding to system outages and ensuring business continuity.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in airport baggage systems or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven planning and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Experience working with complex systems and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Senior first aid certification and valid driver's license required.
