Senior Building Inspector

This is a pivotal role where you will manage and inspire a dedicated team, drive high performance, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and oversee complex investigations into defective building work.

The ideal candidate will possess a current Driver's License and have a good driving record. Frequent travel across the State will be required.

  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to team members, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in approving scopes for the rectification of defective and incomplete residential construction work.
  • Conduct investigations, prepare detailed reports, and administer regulatory provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload, interpret and apply requirements of legislation and codes within the construction industry.
  • Prepare reports and statements for disciplinary proceedings.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Hold qualifications or currently hold a Builder's License from QBCC in Queensland (mandatory).
  • Apply contemporary building standards, practices, legislation, and codes within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrate high level interpersonal, consultative, negotiation, and mediation skills.
