About the Position

\

This role is responsible for managing a vertical powder coating line in NSW, Australia. The successful candidate will oversee customer service outcomes and profit management for the line.

\

The new line incorporates state-of-the-art technology from SAT, including a new booth design, GEMA coating equipment, and an oven design not previously seen in the Australian market.

\

This line is critical to the business, serving customers through multiple channels, as well as supporting finishing operations at manufacturing plants.

\

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • To provide world-class finishing services to a customer base in NSW\
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of the line with the engineering team\
  • Recruit and develop personnel to manage and run the line effectively\
  • Ensure the line is certified by key stakeholders for warranty colours\
  • Proactively manage daily priorities of customer service and profitability for optimal business outcomes\
  • Develop continuous improvement programs targeting safety, labour productivity, product quality, on-time delivery, and prioritization of customer orders\
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless integration between paint line feeding and packing/dispatch work\
  • Provide ongoing leadership and strategic guidance to powder coat operations to achieve agreed targets for lead time, profit, and key performance initiatives\
  • Contribute to the regional distribution team to deliver on strategic plans and meet stakeholder expectations

Essential Qualifications:

  • A self-motivated individual who thrives in a high-performance culture\
  • Extensive knowledge of powder coating and significant industry experience running vertical or horizontal lines\
  • Demonstrated understanding of powder coating, customer service, and people management\
  • Previous experience in installing and commissioning paint lines\
  • Understanding of financial principles such as profit and loss accounts and product costing\
  • Highly developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize/manage resources within specified parameters\
  • Proven operations acumen and ability to identify and communicate potential issues/opportunities\
  • Highly developed communication skills, including liaison with customers, operations, and sales staff
