Drilling Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled drilling operations engineer to join our Asset Services Drilling and Completions Field Team on a 15/13 roster. As a key member of the team, you will provide HSE, engineering, and operation support to the front-line execution of drilling, completion, and workover scopes of work.

About the Role

  • Preparation and review of well programs covering work scope changes or well program deviations with minor risk assessed impacts.
  • Provide on-call operational support to Minor Rig and Rigless activities including first point of call responsibilities on a 7-day basis.
  • Support the Brisbane DCW Engineering team by participating in well design and planning workshops, peer reviews, and onsite technical assurance and well program compliance verification.
  • Represent Asset Services at operating sites with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Lead a contractor operations team (COT) and drive continuous improvement through leading and/or supporting engineering & operational optimization projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum or similar).
  • Able to travel to site regularly.
  • Detail-focused with the ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Teams, One Drive, and SharePoint.
  • Operational solutions to unplanned well events through the use of the DCW Decision Change Framework.
