Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support individuals and communities in Hedland, Western Australia. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering individual and group support services to those experiencing life challenges.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in delivering evidence-based interventions and education programs in a supportive, trauma-informed framework. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering counselling and therapeutic support to clients
- Facilitating educational programs and group sessions
- Conducting assessments and creating individualised treatment plans
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate case notes and reporting in line with established standards
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A relevant qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Community Services, or related field, or at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a counselling, education, or AOD/mental health support role
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and harm minimisation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's licence
