Job Overview

The Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the functional independence of our clients.

This multidisciplinary position involves working closely with clients and their families to establish open and respectful relationships, fostering a supportive environment.

Reporting to the Senior Allied Health Clinician, your key responsibilities include enhancing the wellness and lifestyle capacity of residents through targeted exercise and activity programs focused on restorative and rehabilitative outcomes.

You will be responsible for delivering exercise and therapy programs both individually and in small groups in accordance with the Physiotherapist's care plan. This includes assisting with client assessments and re-assessments of their physical capabilities, ensuring residents have access to assistive devices as recommended by the physiotherapist, and completing administrative tasks such as equipment procurement and liaison with family members.

For success in this role, you will require a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, proficiency in computer and phone technology, a current State full driver's license, and up-to-date vaccinations. Additionally, you must hold a NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing to obtain one, and possess the right to work in Australia. Physical ability to perform stated duties is essential.
