Job Overview

As a retail leader, you will oversee the commercial success and image of our boutique by liaising with field, corporate, and global functions. You must be able to think creatively to drive awareness and consideration, and understand the entire client pathway to conversion.

Founded in 1870, we are an esteemed fragrance house drawing on our 150-year heritage and applying a touch of eccentric British charm to all that we do. We're rather obsessed with fragrance and would love to meet someone who shares our passion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Profit and Sales Generation:
    • Analyse sales reports and data to determine business needs and set strategies.
    • Set individual sales goals for team members and motivate them to achieve these goals.
    • Support the development of team members' skills, ensuring they are fluent in all aspects of product knowledge.
    • Demonstrate sales leadership and play an active role on the selling floor.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure all team members provide the highest level of customer service.
    • Build and manage the client database, utilising it to increase sales and customer contact.
    • Resolve all customer problems and complaints quickly and effectively, assisting team members where needed.
    • Manage all special events, including collection previews, client events, sale events, and centre events.
    • Empower team members to provide the best customer service possible.
  • Operations:
    • Ensure correct staffing levels.
    • Look after areas of risk management, including physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management.
    • Deliver relevant team member training, i.e., POS systems.
    • Conduct stock inventories as needed.
    • Understand and execute cash control procedures, including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash.
    • Implement merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies.
    • Partner with operations, logistics, and product teams to ensure the right assortment for the store, communicating inventory needs to support the business goal.
    • Ensure the selling floor is always picture perfect and reflective of current visual direction.
  • People Management:
    • Work with the HR team to ensure all vacancies are filled in a timely manner with the right candidate.
    • Work with the Education team to deliver all training programs and initiatives to develop team members.
    • Continually evaluate the performance of each team member and provide constant feedback to ensure results.
Requirements
  • Strong retail operational skills with a minimum three years' experience in a store management role, preferably within beauty or similar luxury environment.
  • Relationships focus and collaborative approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to influence, negotiate, and lead others to action.
  • Coaching mindset and capability to nurture and develop people.
  • Performance and development skills; listening and empathy, constructive feedback and motivation, inspire influence and delegation.
