Job Overview

Fortescue is seeking a detail-driven Compliance Coordinator to join the Ore Processing team at Iron Bridge on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and safe operation of classified plant, tanks, and structural assets on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain compliance of classified plant, tanks, and structural assets in line with Australian Standards and regulations.
  • Manage contractor performance and ensure inspections and maintenance are completed by licensed professionals.
  • Identify gaps in inspection/maintenance records and drive timely close-out of remedial actions.
  • Develop and update defect registers, ensuring accurate tagging, reporting, and documentation in SAP.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and operational activities with a compliance and safety-first approach.
  • Drive safety leadership, risk management, and continuous improvement across all work activities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or mechanical trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy industry, preferably fixed plant ore processing.
  • Strong knowledge of structural integrity, tanks, classified plant, and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Proven experience in contractor management and familiarity with CMMS (SAP, Pronto) and scheduling systems.
  • Sound understanding of WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and mining regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills with a focus on compliance and safety.
