Freight Yard Trainee

Our rail operations team is seeking a trainee shunter to join their busy yard. This role will suit someone who is keen to commence working in the rail industry with good concentration skills and situational awareness.
- Coordinate movements of trains within a complex and busy yard
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are keen to develop a career in the rail industry and work around heavy equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications">Key qualifications include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work a rotating shift roster including early starts, nights, weekends & public holidays
- Superior teamwork skills
- Current unrestricted Class C drivers' licence
- Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre-offer checks
