About this role and the work

We are seeking a skilled data engineer to join our team. You will have the unique opportunity to build a unified data platform that powers our suite of AI tools and insight delivery.

The ideal candidate will be able to assess existing architectures and strategically identify opportunities to improve our data platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a unified data platform that meets our target data architecture.
  • Create and manage data pipelines that enable the ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) of data from various sources into our Azure data ecosystem.
  • Support the AI and insights functions - Bring together resources so our data teams can access the same data.
  • Data management - Build quality checks and tests for all newly developed code and data assets, checking for completeness and integrity against established processes.
  • Collaboration - Work in a cross-functional team with AI engineers, analysts, and full-stack developers.

About you

If you're the right person for this role, you have:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • A strong understanding of ETL & ELT data migration patterns.
  • Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines (DBT, FiveTran, Stitch, Talend, etc).
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dataflow, AWS Glue, etc.).
  • Proficiency in a relevant programming language (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of relational DBMS.
