Job Description

We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will have the unique opportunity to build a unified data platform that powers our AI tools and insight delivery.

This role supports both our AI team and our Insights team, critical in delivering features for our suite of products. The successful candidate will be capable of assessing existing architectures and strategically identifying opportunities to improve our data platform.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of ETL & ELT data migration patterns and experience developing and maintaining data pipelines. Additionally, proficiency in a relevant programming language and SQL is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecting a unified data platform - Define, map and model the data and data-flows from multiple systems in line with our target data architecture.
  • Create and manage data pipelines - that enable the ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) of data from various sources into our ecosystem.
  • Support the AI and insights functions - Bring together resources so our data teams are accessing the same data.
  • Data management - Be able to build quality checks and tests for all newly developed code and data assets, checking for completeness and integrity against established processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Strong understanding of ETL & ELT data migration patterns
  • Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines (DBT, FiveTran, Stitch, Talend, etc)
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dataflow, AWS Glue, etc.)
  • Proficiency in a relevant programming language (Python, Javascript, etc.)
  • Proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of relational DBMS
