Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Lead to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of risk and opportunity management strategies to ensure the safe and rapid development of innovative engines and propulsion systems for space applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risks and opportunities
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on risk management best practices
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk-informed decision-making processes
  • Conduct regular risk and opportunity management training sessions for engineering and program management teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
  • 10+ years of system development/integration experience, preferably in aerospace or complicated technical systems
  • Proven track record of successful risk management leadership in complex, high-profile aerospace projects
  • Expertise in risk management standards, methodologies, and state-of-the-art tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective mitigation plans
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with program or project management
  • Expertise with state-of-the-art risk management tools and software
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with specific risk management tools and software commonly used in the aerospace industry

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $141,600-$207,680, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
