About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Sales Executive to join our team in Canberra. As a Public Sector Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing Public Sector (Federal Government/Territory Government) accounts within the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Public Sector accounts within the assigned region.
  • Responsible for lead generation, building relationships with prospective customers, account profiling, and developing the prospective customer into a revenue-generating customer.
  • Position Rapid7 platform, including Managed Security Services, to craft effective solutions.
  • Proven solution sales experience in identifying market size and focus; developing sales pipeline; penetrating new accounts and driving the sales process.
  • Ability to multi-task numerous sales cycles simultaneously, while ensuring revenue goals are achieved.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly/annual sales quota.
  • Develop and manage pipeline, providing weekly updates to forecast.
  • Negotiate contracts, up-sell, build customer rapport, and assist with adoption.
  • Provide appropriate sales tracking and reporting as required, leveraging and Clari.
  • Represent Rapid7 at external events, including industry events.
  • Navigate channel and MSSP partners and effectively collaborate to grow assigned territory business.
  • Manage and respond to RFPs, working with internal stakeholders within and outside of Australia.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in a New Business Sales role within the Cyber Security industry. Candidates from Cloud, IAS, Managed Hosting, SaaS & Software also considered.
  • Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of solution selling.
  • A track record of consistent performance and outstanding target achievement in a New Business Development role.
  • Brings existing relationships at Technology Management level within government or public sector customers.
  • Past experience working with Public Sector is a must.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit by which you will own and drive your own business in the Public Sector.

Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of the Cyber Security industry and a proven track record of success in sales.
